This new Shiftworks floor shifter has been designed to properly function with whichever GM transmission you decide to use in your vehicle. The handle and knob have been designed to resemble that used in particular cars but with our provided universal mounting kit, your able to use this shifter in almost any custom application as well.
The shifter connects to the transmission with a cable linkage. Cable mounts and the proper transmission lever are both included. We even install a new neutral safety / back up light switch and set it up so it's ready to simply wire into your car!
Special Note for 1966-67 Pontiac Shifter Owners:
The factory shifter handles were made from pot metal and sometimes break. If this is your situation you can reuse your original shifter body and install this shifter inside of it providing you with a new stainless steel handle, a fully functional neutral safety switch, the look of your original shifter, and continued use of the shifter base for mounting your console.
