This steel trunk lid replaces the rusted, dented, or damaged original on 1981–1987 Buick Regal models. Precision stamped from automotive-grade steel, it reproduces the factory deck lid contours, edge profiles, and mounting locations for proper alignment with the quarter panels, rear body panel, and weatherstrip channel. A reinforced inner structure provides the strength and rigidity required for dependable operation with the factory-style hinges, torsion rods, and latch assembly. An electro-deposit primer (EDP) coating helps protect the steel from rust and corrosion during storage, handling, and preparation. Designed to duplicate the original factory understructure, this reproduction trunk lid restores the original appearance and fit of the vehicle's rear body assembly. It also fits Buick Grand National and GNX models; however, modification is required to install the factory rear spoiler. The EDP-coated surface provides an excellent foundation for final bodywork and paint.
