This RESTOPARTS® stamped-steel Cowl Induction Hood (original GM#3987028) is an exact reproduction of the original "2 cowl hump GM factory hood used on 1970–72 Chevelle and El Camino models. First introduced by Original Parts Group in 1989, this hood has since been installed on thousands of Chevelles and El Caminos, and featured on numerous award winning builds, including many SEMA cars over the years.
This Super Sport Cowl Hood features the original underside factory GM-style skeletal reinforcement, all original hood hinge mounting points and the properly reproduced steel insert locations for installation of the original-style hood insulation and Cowl Induction air-cleaner.
The factory Hood Pin & Plate mounting holes are pre-punched in the correct locations for proper installation. In addition, this hood pairs perfectly with our RESTOPARTS reproduced hood door, pivots and hardware. Each hood is EDP (Electro-deposit primered) coated to provide corrosion resistance during storage, preparation and installation.
