This combination set of RESTOPARTS® stamped-steel Hood and companion inserts are exact reproductions of the original GM factory Super Sport hood & inserts used on 1967 Chevelle and El Camino models. The hood is precision stamped from automotive-grade steel, and reproduces the original factory SS profile with the correct twin raised hood bumps and openings for the GM factory-style hood inserts. The inserts are authentically reproduced pot metal, chrome plated and professionally enameled in black at the factory. The hood's underside features the properly reproduced skeletal reinforcement/stamped-steel inner structure, providing the strength and rigidity of the original GM hood along with the correct mounting provisions for original or reproduction hood hinges and latch assembly. Original factory mounting points are reproduced in their proper locations for straightforward installation and correct alignment with the fenders, cowl, grille and surrounding front-end sheet metal. Each hood is EDP (Electro-deposit primed) coated to provide corrosion resistance during storage, preparation and installation.
