This RESTOPARTS® stamped-steel Hood is an exact reproduction of the original GM factory standard hood used on 1966 Chevelle and El Camino models. Precision-stamped from automotive-grade steel, it reproduces the original factory Malibu profile for an authentic appearance and proper alignment with the surrounding front-end sheet metal. The underside features the properly reproduced factory GM-style skeletal reinforcement/stamped-steel inner structure, providing the strength and rigidity of the original hood along with the correct mounting provisions for the factory-style hood hinges and latch assembly. Original factory mounting points are reproduced in their proper locations for straightforward installation and correct alignment with the fenders, cowl, grille and surrounding front-end sheet metal. Correct factory mounting holes are provided for the original-style emblems and moldings. Each hood is EDP (Electro-deposit primed) coated to provide corrosion resistance during storage, preparation and installation.
