This RESTOPARTS® stamped-steel Hood is an exact reproduction of the original GM factory hood used on 1965 Chevelle and El Camino models. Precision-stamped from automotive-grade steel, it reproduces the factory dimensions, exterior contours, edge profiles and distinctive original body lines. The underside features the properly reproduced factory GM-style skeletal reinforcement and stamped-steel inner structure, providing the strength and rigidity of the original hood along with the correct provisions for the factory-style hood hinges and latch assembly. Factory mounting points are reproduced in their proper locations for straightforward installation and correct alignment with the fenders, cowl, grille and surrounding front-end sheet metal. Each hood is EDP (Electro-deposit primed) coated to provide corrosion resistance during storage, preparation and installation.
