This Glasstek fiberglass hood provides a lightweight replacement for the original hood on 1971-72 GTO/Lemans Sport models. Molded fiberglass construction reproduces the required exterior contours, while the reinforced underside provides support and rigidity without the weight of a conventional steel hood. The molded GTO-style contours reproduce the distinctive performance appearance associated with the original application. The reinforced underside and mounting provisions are designed for installation with appropriate factory-style hardware; lighter fiberglass hood springs may be required. Test-fit the hood and complete normal fiberglass filling, sanding, priming, and paint preparation before final installation.
