This RESTOPARTS® steel hood replaces the rusted, damaged, or missing original on 1970-72 Monte Carlo models. Precision stamped from automotive-grade steel, it reproduces the factory dimensions, exterior contours, edge profiles, and mounting locations for proper alignment with the fenders, cowl, grille, and surrounding front-end sheet metal. A reinforced inner structure adds strength and rigidity while providing the correct mounting provisions for the factory-style hinges and latch assembly. The functional cowl-induction opening is designed to accept the appropriate cowl door and related components for increased airflow to the engine. A corrosion-resistant EDP coating helps protect the steel during storage, preparation, and installation while providing a suitable foundation for final bodywork and paint.
