Head studs or head bolts. Which do you use? Head studs put less stress on the block and have a more even clamping force than head bolts, but if you want to remove your heads while the engine is in the car, head bolts are the way to go. Otherwise you have to pull the engine to get the heads off with head studs. Either way you choose, ARP has the parts for you. Their head studs have undercut shanks to put constant pressure on the head and gasket for maximum sealing. ARP head studs are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel and come with parallel ground washers and heat-treated nuts.
