This RESTOPARTS® outside mirror pair is an exact reproduction of the original GM mirrors for 1969–72 Chevelle and El Camino and 1970–72 Monte Carlo models. Precision zinc die-cast mirror bodies reproduce the correct factory contours and feature a brilliant triple-chrome plated finish. Unlike generic reproduction sets that use the same mounting base on both sides, RESTOPARTS® developed separate LH and RH ribbed bases to match the different body contours and mounting angles on each side of the vehicle. This corrects a common problem with lower quality generic replacement mirrors: the passenger-side mirror can sit at an incorrect angle, limiting the adjustment range and making it difficult to obtain a useful rearward view. Our dedicated RH base positions the mirror at the original GM factory angle, while the dedicated LH base provides the corresponding correct fit on the driver side. An improved ball-and-socket mechanism provides secure mirror adjustment and helps prevent the mirror droop commonly associated with worn originals and many reproduction mirrors.
