1969 Pontiac GTO Electric Hideaway Headlight Conversion Kit
Electric actuators operate the original hideaway doors from the factory headlight switch.
Replace the vacuum-operated hideaway headlight mechanism in a 1969 Pontiac GTO with this electric conversion kit. Two gear-reduction actuators and two control boxes operate the original doors through the factory headlight switch. CNC-machined billet aluminum brackets, aluminum electronics cases, Teflon®-coated wire, gold-plated Deutsch® connectors and stainless steel hardware are included. The brackets use existing mounting points, with no cutting, drilling or fabrication of the car. Four short electrical connections avoid running new wires through the firewall or into the dash; installation includes connections to the existing headlight wiring. Supplied instructions cover the conversion. The original hideaway doors and their operating hardware are retained, not replaced by a complete new headlight assembly.
