This RESTOPARTS® bucket seat frame is an exact reproduction of the original GM front bucket seat frame used on 1969–72 GM A-Body models. Manufactured from heavy-gauge stamped steel, the complete frame reproduces the original GM seat structure, mounting provisions and spring configuration. The assembly includes both the seat-back and seat-bottom frames with the properly formed seat springs already installed, providing a complete foundation for rebuilding an original bucket seat. It accepts the original-style seat foam, upholstery, seat backs, bases, headrest components and related hardware for the applicable year and model. This is an excellent solution when the original seat frame is rusted, bent, broken or has damaged springs—and also provides the correct starting point when converting a bench-seat car to factory-style bucket seats. The same frame fits either the driver or passenger side, eliminating the need for separate LH and RH frame assemblies. Seat tracks and seat-back release mechanisms are not included.
