This complete RESTOPARTS® console kit reproduces the original 1970 Chevelle and El Camino Turbo Hydra-Matic console with close attention to the details and finishes of the original GM assembly. The injection-molded plastic console base features the correct GM Madrid grain, complemented by an authentically reproduced die-cast zinc & chrome-plated top plate featuring the original brushed aluminum design and factory-original black surround enamel detail. From the bright trim and console door to the Turbo Hydra-Matic shift indicator, each component is reproduced to match the original GM part and engineered to fit and align properly as a complete assembly. All console components are produced through RESTOPARTS® factories and engineered together as a matched system rather than assembled from parts sourced from multiple suppliers. This provides the best consistency in fit, finish and appearance while allowing us to maintain among the highest quality-control standards in the restoration industry. Please note, many customers have opted to use their existing lock - so the lock is now sold separately, use SKU #KK26070, Keys version or #CH37584 button style.
