This 1968-72 Chevrolet Chevelle/El Camino/Monte Carlo Console Dial Backing Plate is the physical support plate used beneath the shift-indicator lens on automatic floor-shift console assemblies. It positions the indicator components in the original console stack-up and replaces a missing or damaged support plate without changing the visible console layout.
