This seven-piece under-carpet sound deadener set reproduces the original-style insulation used beneath the carpet on 1964–67 GM A-Body models, including Chevelle, El Camino, GTO, LeMans, Tempest, Cutlass and Skylark. Each section is die-cut for its specific location on the floor pan, providing the proper coverage beneath the molded carpet and carpet backing. Unlike universal sound-control material that must be measured and cut during installation, this set is already patterned for the original GM A-Body floor. Installed directly over the floor pan beneath the carpet, the deadener provides an additional insulating barrier to help reduce road noise and heat transfer into the passenger compartment while reproducing the type of under-carpet installation used in the original vehicle.
