1968–72 GM A-Body Ribbed Sill Plates
RESTOPARTS® Exact GM Reproductions — Die-Stamped, Bright-Dip Anodized & Correctly Riveted
These RESTOPARTS® sill plates are exact reproductions of the original GM factory door sill plates used on 1968–72 GM A-Body applications. Each plate is die-stamped in aluminum to reproduce the original dimensions, defined contours and distinctive factory ribbed pattern.
The aluminum receives a bright-dip anodized finish, reproducing the clean, bright appearance of the original GM sill plates while providing the finished surface appropriate to the factory design. These are not generic polished aluminum replacement plates—the material, formed rib pattern and finish are reproduced to match the original configuration.
An important factory detail is the GM-licensed Body by Fisher emblem. Rather than using a glued-on emblem, each emblem is riveted directly to the sill plate as GM originally produced it. This small but highly visible detail distinguishes these RESTOPARTS® reproductions from sill plates that use an adhesive-mounted emblem.
