This specially assembled 2-door hardtop carpet kit brings together Auto Custom Carpets (ACC) Essex carpet, undercarpet sound deadener and RESTOPARTS® reproduction sill plates for 1961–64 Pontiac Bonneville and 1962–64 Pontiac Catalina and Grand Prix, with automatic transmission and console. ACC supplies ultra-plush 100% nylon Essex cut-pile carpeting, formed to follow the original GM floor-pan contours, with a machine-bonded driver-side heel pad and bonded jute backing for cushioning and insulation. The separate undercarpet sound-deadening layer helps reduce road noise and heat transfer. RESTOPARTS® contributes the original-style stamped-aluminum sill-plate pair with model-specific patterning, riveted Fisher Body identification tags and predrilled mounting holes; mounting screws are included with that sill-plate pair. Together, these components deliver the carpet texture, insulation and finished door-opening details appropriate to the restoration.
