1978–88 GM G-Body Essex Carpet Restoration Kit

Premium Essex Carpet, Sound Deadener & RESTOPARTS® Sill Plates

This complete carpet restoration kit combines molded Essex carpet, application-specific floor-pan sound deadener and RESTOPARTS® sill plates with the required mounting screws for a complete G-Body carpet installation. The one-piece Essex carpet is produced from dense 22-ounce cut-pile carpeting and heat-pressed and molded using an original GM G-Body floor pan die for accurate contours and fit. The carpet includes an authentically reproduced, machine-bonded heel pad in the correct factory location, along with the correct molded dimmer-switch grommet. A 1/2"-thick jute backing is bonded to the underside of the carpet for added cushioning and insulation. Application-specific floor-pan sound deadener installs beneath the carpet to help reduce road noise and heat transfer. Completing the kit are RESTOPARTS® sill plates with GM-licensed Body by Fisher emblems riveted in place as original, along with the required 8-piece mounting screw set. Available in Beige, Black, Dark Blue, Light Gray, Maroon, Red and Silver to coordinate with the vehicle's interior.
