This complete carpet restoration kit is designed specifically for 1971–78 Cadillac Eldorado 2-door models, combining ACC Essex carpet, high-performance under-carpet insulation and RESTOPARTS® sill plates in one complete package. PF49 includes three primary components: the one-piece Essex carpet, insulation and a pair of sill plates. The one-piece ACC Essex carpet is produced from 100% nylon with a dense 3/8" pile and approximately 22.5 ounces of yarn per square yard. Essex contains over 40% more nylon fiber than standard Cut-Pile, giving the material its deeper, fuller appearance and softer feel. The carpet is heat-pressed and molded to follow the Eldorado floor pan contours and includes an authentically reproduced, machine-bonded heel pad in the correct location. Included high-performance jute insulation installs beneath the carpet to add cushioning while helping isolate the passenger compartment from road noise and heat. Completing the kit are RESTOPARTS® sill plates with the correct GM-licensed Fleetwood emblems riveted in place as original, reproducing an important factory detail along the Eldorado door openings. OPGI lists these sill plates specifically for 1971–78 Eldorado applications.
