Permanent-magnet gear-reduction starter with an 11-tooth pinion.

This Tuff Stuff® starter is designed for Chevrolet LS1 and LS6 engines with a 168-tooth flywheel. The 1.9-horsepower permanent-magnet motor drives an 11-tooth pinion through a gear-reduction mechanism and is rated for engines up to 12:1 compression. This new USA-made starter is offered with a zinc or chrome finish.
