This Powermaster® PowerMAX Plus starter uses a Hitachi-style motor and 3.7:1 gear reduction to deliver up to 180 ft-lb of cranking torque. It is designed for Chevrolet V8 engines with a 153- or 168-tooth flywheel and straight starter-bolt pattern. Four rotational mounting positions let you position the starter body around the oil pan and headers. The compact assembly weighs 10.5 pounds and is offered in natural or chrome finish.
