Chevrolet Small Block/Big Block Nylon Distributor Shim Kit by Davis Unified Ignition®
Three nylon shim thicknesses allow distributor height to be adjusted without stacking gaskets.
These high-impact nylon shims raise the distributor mounting flange when engagement measurements show that the distributor sits too low. Correct height helps prevent the shaft from bottoming against the oil-pump drive and damaging the distributor or camshaft gear. The kit offers three thicknesses for selecting the required clearance. Check distributor and oil-pump engagement before choosing a shim; a milled or decked engine does not automatically need all three.
