Upstream Oxygen Sensor, 1979–93 Applications, 2-Terminal Connector
Upstream oxygen sensor with two-terminal electrical connector
This upstream oxygen sensor monitors oxygen content in the exhaust stream and provides a signal to the engine control system. It replaces a worn or failed sensor in compatible applications using the specified electrical connection.
The sensor features a two-terminal connector, rather than two separate connector housings. Its position ahead of the catalytic converter allows the engine control system to use exhaust feedback when adjusting the air-fuel mixture.
Features
• Upstream oxygen sensor configuration
• Two-terminal electrical connector
• Exhaust oxygen feedback function
• Monitors exhaust oxygen before the catalytic converter
• Provides feedback for engine fuel control
