Blaster 3 Ignition Coil by MSD®

Oil-filled canister and low-resistance winding support compatible performance ignitions.

This MSD® Blaster 3 coil uses an oil-filled canister and low-resistance primary winding for compatible performance ignition systems. The extra-tall tower increases separation at the high-voltage connection. A 90-degree boot and coil terminal are included; a ballast resistor is not included. Points ignition and non-current-limiting systems require the appropriate ballast resistance, while a compatible MSD capacitive-discharge control does not use the coil ballast resistor. Check the ignition requirements before installation.

• Oil-filled performance canister coil • 0.7-ohm primary resistance • 45,000-volt maximum output; 100:1 turns ratio • Extra-tall tower with 90-degree boot and terminal • Ballast resistor not included • Points/non-current-limiting ignition requires suitable ballast resistance
