Electronic triggering retains the original distributor and eliminates routine points servicing.

This PerTronix® Ignitor® II conversion replaces mechanical breaker points and the condenser while retaining the matching original distributor. Adaptive dwell varies charging time while synchronized peak current helps limit heat buildup. Startup energy support and high-rpm timing correction compensate for operating changes. The conversion fits inside the distributor, preserving the original engine-compartment appearance without an external ignition box. Match the distributor application, electrical polarity and coil resistance before installation; an incompatible coil can damage the module.
