Chevrolet Small Block/Big Block Ready-to-Run Distributor by MSD®

An internal ignition module, adjustable advance and rev limiter eliminate a separate ignition box.

This MSD® Ready-to-Run distributor incorporates the ignition module in a CNC-machined aluminum housing, eliminating the need for a separate ignition-control box. A magnetic pickup and bearing-supported steel shaft provide stable triggering. Adjustable mechanical advance and vacuum advance allow the timing curve to suit the engine and light-load operation. The built-in rev limiter adds an adjustable engine-speed limit. Installation uses three ignition connections and a compatible external coil. The cap and rotor are included; the ignition coil is not.
