Chevrolet Small Block/Big Block HEI Distributor - Genuine GM®

A complete HEI assembly combines the cap-mounted coil, ignition module and conventional advance.

This Genuine GM® HEI distributor combines a cap-mounted coil, ignition module, cap and rotor in a cast-aluminum housing. Mechanical and vacuum advance provide timing control without a separate capacitive-discharge ignition box. The assembly uses a melonized drive gear for the specified Chevrolet engine applications. It replaces the earlier distributor reference 93440806. Check camshaft-gear compatibility and provide the correct HEI power connection when converting from another ignition system; this is not the tall-deck distributor.
