A melonized drive gear is specified for matching Chevrolet DUI roller-cam installations.

This Davis Unified Ignition® Melonized gear is a replacement drive gear for the compatible Chevrolet V8 Street/Strip or Racing DUI distributor. The melonized gear is intended for the specified Chevrolet roller-cam applications. Match the gear to the DUI distributor and camshaft combination before installation; it is not a universal gear for every distributor shaft.
