Chevrolet Small Block/Big Block Tri-Power Ignition System by Davis Unified Ignition®

A compact points-style housing is equipped with electronic ignition and an external coil.

The Davis Unified Ignition® Tri-Power system uses a remanufactured points-style distributor housing with an externally mounted Dyna-Mod electronic module. This smaller housing provides an alternative where a large-cap HEI interferes with a blower, tunnel ram or firewall. An external Inferno coil is included. The distributor is calibrated for the engine and vehicle combination, including camshaft specifications, compression, fuel and vehicle weight. The manufacturer specifies operation up to 8,500 rpm and allows plug gaps up to 0.055 inch when suitable for the engine. It is an electronic ignition system, not a replacement set of breaker points.
