Carbureted LS Street/Strip HEI Distributor by Davis Unified Ignition®

Coil-in-cap ignition and a calibrated advance curve combine in a self-contained HEI assembly.

This Davis Unified Ignition® Street/Strip distributor combines a coil-in-cap HEI layout with a Dyna-Module, so no external coil or ignition box is needed. The module extends coil dwell to support a longer-duration spark. Hand-fitted advance weights and springs are calibrated on a distributor machine for the engine combination, while vacuum advance adds timing during light-load operation. Brass cap terminals conduct ignition current and resist corrosion. Installation uses a full 12-volt ignition feed; the advance curve and spark-plug gap must suit the engine rather than relying on a universal setting. This version is for a carbureted LS distributor conversion, not a stock coil-near-plug installation.

• Carbureted LS distributor-conversion application (See full fitment list below) • 50,000-volt coil and Dyna-Module are integrated into the HEI assembly • Mechanical and vacuum advance; engine-matched calibration • Brass distributor-cap terminals resist corrosion • One 12-volt ignition feed; no external ignition box or coil • Manufacturer permits gaps up to 0.055 inch when appropriate for the engine
