1954-62 GM PowerGEN Long 90-Amp Alternator (GEN Lamp) by Powermaster®
Generator-style appearance with 90-amp alternator output and simplified internally regulated charging.
Powermaster® PowerGEN combines the appearance of an original generator with modern alternator charging, preserving a vintage engine-compartment look without retaining generator technology. Rated output is 90 amps, with 65 amps available at idle to support low-speed charging and electrical loads. The long housing has mounting bosses for matching original generator brackets with a 7.13-inch span between mounting tabs. An internal regulator simplifies the one-wire charging-output connection, and a pulley for a 3/8-inch V belt is included. The additional lamp terminal allows the original GEN warning light to function. Each unit is individually dyno-tested; wiring instructions are included.
