The 1966 version mounts at the bottom of the dash on the right side just like the factory and is known as the "knee-knocker" tach because you hit your knee when you shift your 4-speed. The 1967 version mounts to the front of the dash on the left by the speedometer and features the left turn signal on the face just as the original did.
