Liquid filling damps needle vibration; the sensing stem extends 1 inch beyond the connection.
This Marshall Instruments™ direct-mount thermometer reads 0-250°F at the intake manifold, cylinder head or transmission. Its liquid-filled case damps vibration and needle movement so the temperature scale remains easier to read. The 1.4-inch white marshall-logo dial uses a red pointer. A rear 3/8-inch NPT connection mounts the thermometer at the measurement point, with the sensing stem extending 1 inch beyond the connection. Check the threaded port and stem clearance when selecting the installation location.
