Liquid damping steadies the temperature pointer in high-vibration installations.
This AutoMeter® 2-5/8-inch water-temperature gauge combines a mechanical Bourdon-tube movement with liquid damping to reduce pointer flutter from shock and vibration. The dial reads 120-240°F, and the included six-foot capillary tube connects the sensing bulb to the dash instrument. A 1/2-inch NPT adapter is supplied for the bulb installation. The temperature reading requires no electrical sender or electrical power; incandescent illumination uses the vehicle's lighting circuit. The kit includes a bulb/socket assembly, red and green bulb covers, mounting hardware and instructions. Choose the Pro-Comp or Ultra-Lite face style to match your gauge panel.
