1978-81 Monte Carlo/El Camino/Malibu Gauge Shadow Box (Rectangular Speedometer Dash)
Adds clearance behind the factory gauge faceplate for an aftermarket instrument installation.
This gauge shadow box adds depth behind the factory gauge faceplate in a 1978-81 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, El Camino or Malibu with the rectangular, sweep-style speedometer dash. Install the shadow box in the faceplate, then install the faceplate assembly into the gauge housing. The added spacing provides room for aftermarket instruments while retaining the original dash-face arrangement. This is the shadow-box adapter, not a gauge set or a complete instrument housing.
