1978-88 Oldsmobile Cutlass Performance II Gauge Conversion by New Vintage USA™

This New Vintage USA™ Performance II gauge conversion updates the 1978-88 Oldsmobile Cutlass dash with six instruments in the original cluster opening. A CNC-cut laminate bracket allows the gauge positions to be adjusted within the carrier, while acrylic dash trim finishes the installation. Performance II styling combines sports-car and racing-gauge influences with full-sweep stepper motors for fine dial resolution. Blue LED backlit graphics and illuminated pointers improve nighttime readability. Stainless steel bezels, flat glass lenses and logo-free faces give the instruments a clean, integrated appearance. A programmable 140-MPH electronic speedometer and tachometer are accompanied by dedicated fuel-level, coolant-temperature, oil-pressure and voltage gauges. The fuel gauge matches the factory 0-90-ohm sender. Phoenix Direct-Drive electronics add OLED information displays, performance timing, sequential shift alerts and auxiliary inputs. Color-coded AMP connections let the smaller gauges plug into the speedometer and tachometer, reducing individual gauge wiring. Turn-signal, high-beam, warning and check-engine indicators remain hidden when off. Oil-pressure and coolant-temperature senders, adapter bushings, the mounting bracket, gauge hardware and instructions are included. The speedometer accepts a compatible GM® transmission speed signal or PCM output. An electronic speed signal is required; a separate speed sender may be needed and is not included. LED dimming may require a compatible dimmer rather than the original rheostat. Backed by a five-year limited manufacturer warranty.
