1984-87 Buick Regal Aviator Gauge Conversion by New Vintage USA™

Red-backlit instruments combine black bezels with flat glass lenses.

This New Vintage USA™ Aviator gauge conversion gives the 1984-87 Buick Regal dash a GNX-style instrument layout. A CNC-cut laminate bracket attaches to the stock mounting tabs. Black-and-silver printed acrylic trim covers the cut edges, but the original bezel must be trimmed for installation. Aviator instruments combine red LED backlighting and illuminated pointers with black bezels and flat glass lenses. Shock-resistant cases and threaded rear clamps with vibration-damping O-rings secure the gauges. The instrument fronts are sealed against water pressure up to 35 PSI; this rating does not apply to the rear electrical connections. A programmable 140-MPH electronic speedometer and tachometer are accompanied by dedicated fuel-level, coolant-temperature, oil-pressure and voltage gauges. The fuel gauge matches the factory 0-90-ohm sender. Phoenix Direct-Drive electronics add OLED information displays, performance timing, sequential shift alerts and auxiliary inputs. Color-coded AMP connections let the smaller gauges plug into the speedometer and tachometer, reducing individual gauge wiring. Turn-signal, high-beam and warning indicators remain hidden when off. Choose the turbo or non-turbo version to match the car. The turbo package adds an electronic vacuum/boost gauge with its transducer sender. The non-turbo package uses a matching center filler in place of the boost gauge. Oil-pressure and coolant-temperature senders, adapter bushings, the mounting bracket, gauge hardware and instructions are included. An electronic speed signal is required; a separate speed sender may be needed and is not included. Backed by a five-year limited manufacturer warranty.
