1970-72 GTO & LeMans VHX Instrument System by Dakota Digital®
Six analog gauges, LCD data centers and included senders install with the factory Pontiac bezel.
Upgrade your 1970-72 Pontiac GTO or LeMans with Dakota Digital's VHX instrument system. This Dakota Digital VHX system combines six analog gauge sweeps with digital LCD message-center data. The analog gauges monitor speed, engine RPM, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level and voltage using micro-controlled stepper motors, fully illuminated needles and LED-backlit faces. The LCD centers add a one-time-settable million-mile odometer, dual trip meters, 12-hour clock, digital gauge readouts, 0-60 mph and quarter-mile performance timers, trap-speed data, high-speed recall and high-RPM recall. The included solid-state sender package provides water-temperature, oil-pressure and cable-driven speed sensing, plus common NPT/metric adapter bushings, control box, switch assembly and harnessing. Pushbutton setup handles speedometer calibration, cylinder count and fuel-level calibration. Current black-plastic VHX control boxes also support Dakota Digital BIM expansion modules for additional data channels. Dakota Digital specifies use of the factory bezel and provides a vehicle-specific display arrangement for these 1970-72 Pontiac applications. Face choices include Black Alloy, Silver Alloy and Carbon Fiber, with available blue, red or white illumination depending on configuration. The system keeps the original dash architecture while adding modern calibration, performance and warning information.
