Late-style RTX cluster preserves factory cues while adding TFT data, configurable lighting and senders.
Dakota Digital's RTX-86C-MC-X is the late-style RTX system for round-gauge Chevrolet/GMC G-Body dashboards. Dakota Digital's current RTX family application covers 1978-88 Monte Carlo and 1978-87 El Camino/Malibu/Caballero, with RTX-86C-MC-X providing the 1986-88-style cluster appearance. Dakota Digital's RTX system retains factory-inspired face styling while adding modern electronic instrumentation. Six analog gauges monitor speed, engine RPM, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level and voltage, while high-definition TFT message centers provide odometer/trip information, digital readouts, performance data and configurable driver information. A central control box simplifies vehicle-signal and sender connections, and the system includes the required oil-pressure, water-temperature and speed senders. User-selectable LED illumination lets you tune gauge, needle and message-center appearance, and compatible systems support app-based setup. Current black-plastic RTX control boxes can also accept Dakota Digital BIM expansion modules. The system retains the stock-inspired layout while adding full-color LED backlighting and TFT message-center information. Installation requires the stock round-gauge style cluster; it does not fit sweep-style clusters, and bezel/housing are not supplied.
