Dakota Digital’s Series III VFD instrument system gives your 1970-72 Chevrolet Malibu, non-Super Sport Chevelle or El Camino a complete six-gauge digital package with bright vacuum-fluorescent displays. The system provides a 0-255 MPH speedometer, 0-17,500 RPM tachometer, 0-99 psi oil pressure, 0-300°F water temperature, 0-99% fuel level and 8-17 VDC voltage display. Digital message functions include a million-mile odometer, trip information, clock and programmable calibration/settings, while user-adjustable warning points help call attention to vehicle conditions. Dakota Digital includes the control electronics plus the required oil-pressure, water-temperature and speedometer sending hardware; fuel level connects to the vehicle’s existing or compatible aftermarket sender. The VFD3-70C-MAL fits directly into the existing OEM-style bezel, which is not included, and no longer requires sending the stock cluster to Dakota Digital.
