Output your gauge information direct from the OBD-II/CAN or aftermarket EFI CAN connection to your Dakota Digital HDX, RTX, VFD3 or VHX Gauges.
For factory computers with OBD-II(J1850/CAN OBD protocols only) the interface module allows you to directly plug into the engine diagnostic port which allows you to extract engine & transmission information from the vehicles computer(ECM). The interface collects and outputs for most vehicles the speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature and check engine indicator. It can also potentially, depending on application, collect and output intake air temperature, transmission temperature, ambient air temperature, gear position, oil pressure and boost pressure. The module is compatible with OBDII protocols SAE J1850 VPW, SAE J1850 PWM and ISO 15765 CAN 500k 11 bit identifiers that follow the SAE J1979 PID protocol. The module will not collect and output gear position data for GM Connect & Cruise packages because it's not transmitted from that system.
The AEM interface module is a direct plug-in using the supplied 4 pin harness for simple connection to the AEM CAN bus (AEMnet) system that is used by the AEM Infinity ECU, Series 2 EMS & EMS-4 kits. The interface module will potentially collect and output speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, air/fuel ratio, intake air temperature, boost, transmission temperature and check engine indicator. The outputs are dependent on what is available from the AEM system.
The Edelbrock interface module works with the dedicated DB9 CAN connection plug on the main harness of the Pro-Flo EFI Kits. The interface module will potentially collect and output tachometer, engine temperature, intake air temperature, fuel pressure, air/fuel ratio, MAP and boost. The outputs are dependent on what is available from the Edelbrock system.
The Holley interface module is a direct plug-in using the supplied 2 or 4 pin harness to the Holley Terminator (including the X and X Max), HP, Sniper or Dominator EFI kits. The interface module will potentially collect and output tachometer, engine temperature, intake/manifold temperature, fuel pressure and air/fuel ratio. There may also be available speedometer, oil pressure and boost. These outputs are dependent on what is available from the Holley system.
The MSD interface module is a direct plug-in using the supplied y-adaptor for the MSD Atomic TBI EFI Kits. The interface module will potentially collect and output tachometer, engine temperature, intake/manifold temperature, fuel pressure and air/fuel ratio. There may also be available oil pressure. These outputs are dependent on what is available from the MSD Atomic TBI system. The interface module isn't compatible with the Atomic LS EFI.
