DIM-1 Instrument Light Dimming Kit by Dakota Digital®
Adds on-the-fly nighttime brightness adjustment to compatible Dakota Digital instrument systems.
Dakota Digital’s DIM-1 gives you a dedicated rotary control for the nighttime brightness setting built into compatible Dakota Digital instrumentation. The machined aluminum knob and bezel work with VFD3/RET, VHX, HDX and RTX systems; they do not dim unrelated factory or aftermarket clusters and are not compatible with STR-series control boxes, Odyssey or Solarix gauges. Dakota specifically notes that the stock headlight-switch rheostat will not perform this function with its instruments. Installation requires a dedicated dash mounting hole and wiring to the instrument system’s dimming circuit, providing convenient on-the-fly brightness adjustment rather than relying only on a preset night level.
