Binary-to-Trinary A/C Pressure Switch Upgrade by Vintage Air®
Trinary upgrade adds a fan-control output to A/C high- and low-pressure protection.
This Vintage Air® trinary switch upgrades a compatible system that ordinarily uses a binary refrigerant-pressure safety switch. It retains high- and low-pressure compressor protection while adding a separate electrical signal that can be used to control an electric condenser fan. The switch disengages the compressor at 30 psi low pressure or 406 psi high pressure and supplies a fan-control signal at 254 psi. This upgrade is intended for electric-fan installations; fan power is controlled through the appropriate relay circuit.
