Flexible hose accommodates movement in the hydraulic steering return circuit.
This power steering return hose is a replacement for your 1978–80 GM G-Body with a 305 V8. It carries fluid through the low-pressure return side of the steering system. The flexible section accommodates movement and routing between the steering components.
