An H-pipe and two "Super 40"™ mufflers produce a deep tone with two rear-exit choices.

Mandrel-bent, 16-gauge aluminized steel tubing maintains the 2-1/2-inch dual exhaust path through the bends. The built-in H-pipe balances pressure between the two banks, while the pair of Flowmaster® "Super 40"™ mufflers delivers a moderately aggressive exterior tone and moderate interior sound. The tailpipes provide slash-cut or turndown rear exits. V8 applications include 1964-72 Chevrolet Chevelle (including Malibu) & El Camino, Buick Skylark, Oldsmobile F-85, Cutlass & 4-4-2 and Pontiac GTO & LeMans; 1964-69 Buick Special; 1965-72 Buick Gran Sport and GS models and 1970-72 GSX; 1964-70 Pontiac Tempest; 1970-72 Chevrolet Monte Carlo; and 1971-72 GMC Sprint. Buick Sportwagon coverage also includes 1967 and 1969. This crossmember-back set includes the mufflers, H-pipe, tailpipes, hangers, clamps and installation hardware. Front pipes require trimming to match the header collectors or suitable manifold downpipes. Installation requires welding, and the routed system needs at least 3/4 inch of clearance from surrounding components. Covered by Flowmaster’s three-year limited warranty.
