For Pontiac 455 Super Duty, 7/16-24 cap-screw type, these ARP® connecting-rod bolts are manufactured from heat-treated 8740 chromoly steel with threads rolled after heat-treating for improved fatigue strength. ARP recommends checking rod-bolt stretch during installation; the exact stretch and torque values are specific to the kit part number.
