Forged 8740 chromoly main bolts use rolled threads and hardened parallel-ground washers.
For Small-Block Chevrolet, small-journal with 2-bolt mains, Hex Head, these ARP® main-cap bolts are forged from 8740 chromoly steel with a large under-head radius and threads rolled after heat-treating. Hardened parallel-ground washers are included to support stable, repeatable main-cap clamping.
