Heat-treated 8740 chromoly shaft uses a roll-formed floating alignment sleeve.
ARP® manufactures this Small Block Chevrolet oil pump driveshaft from premium 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated to 190,000 psi. Its larger-than-OE shaft diameter handles increased-capacity pumps and heavier-viscosity lubricants, while the roll-formed floating alignment sleeve allows slight misalignment.
