1973-77 Chevrolet / 1968-73 Pontiac 6L80E/6L90E Shifter Conversion by Shiftworks®
Transmission bracket and lever adapt the original console shifter without a new indicator lens.
This Shiftworks® conversion adapts the original console shifter in 1973-77 Chevrolet Chevelle/El Camino and 1968-73 Pontiac GTO, plus 1968-70 Tempest, to a 6L80E or 6L90E. It supplies the transmission cable bracket, selector lever and hardware while retaining the original cable and shifter detent. No new detent or indicator lens is included in this six-speed set. The selector operates P-R-N-D-M; electronic controls provide manual up/down commands. The conversion does not retain column-interlock linkage, so the neutral-safety/back-up-light arrangement must be addressed during installation.
