This super-duty 5-foot race shift cable is the highest quality available. Cable has rotary swaged ends with an eyelet on one end and a threaded stud on the other, with double jam nuts and internal locking washers for mounting. Cable is pre-lubed, have a 0.375" O.D. red "long lay" outer jacket for greater cable protection and have less than 0.015" backlash per foot, which means you'll get almost instantaneous gear engagement when shifting. This super-duty shifter cable has up to 50% less backlash than some competitor's cables and the 5-foot length is what comes standard with all B&M race shifters.
